MISSION STATEMENT
The Goal and Purpose of Peace-of-Art is to give quality stock to Deviant Art Members for use in their artwork. Please read and follow the rules below.


STOCK RULES

STOCK RULES
This is FREE STOCK as it has always been.

You may create art and do with it as you wish. It becomes your art once you have made an art piece. This means any of you may use it in dA art pieces, off site art pieces, and commercial art pieces [not stock] as long as the content from Peace-of-Art is only a portion of the art piece created, and not the whole. You need not ask if you can post your finished art works elsewhere or sell them. We do however retain the copyright on all of our images, and expect that you give us credit and a link back to our gallery in all cases. Examples: You may now create CD covers, book covers, calendars from our stock.


There are no restrictions except for the following.

1. You may not claim the original as your own piece. Substantial changes must be made to the piece in order for it to qualify as a manip. It will be left to our discretion as to if that standard has been met. A color change, or filter change or the adding of only clouds or sky does not constitute a change.

2. You must NOTE us if you use our stock for any purpose, either here on dA or elsewhere. If we find that someone has used it without noting us, we reserve the right to require you to remove the item. Do not tell us on the front page - we will not see it, and it will be as if you had not informed us.


3. You may NOT make stock from our stock unless you have received our written permission. At this point in time these people are the ONLY people who have our permission to do so. These deviants have our permission to use our stock to make stock to sell off site, but may not sell these items on dA. If you are on this list, I would appreciate being gifted, one of each of the items you create using our stock that I could then in turn use in my art. I do EXPECT that Peace-of-Art will be given credit in any creation that our stock is used to create.

I have also granted a few others permission to use our stock in the creation of stock for CSS journals for use on dA . You know who you are, and if you have not received our permission, do NOT create stock of any kind with our stock.


We will not be manning this site as much as before. We will be adding new stock pieces, and that will be our time contribution to the stock account.

I have but one warning. I will not listen to complaints about how this is worded, nor be told that the wording isn't substantial enough to hold up, and that my side will not be taken should these few rules be violated. I will not hire an attorney to write my stock rules. IF that ever happens again, the stock account will be removed.


We reserve the right to change our rules at any time, and if we do so, all previous offers will then be considered null and void.


No need to ask if you may print. devArt PRINTING IS HEREBY GRANTED on any finished piece (as long as it follows the rules mentioned here)
